For almost 50 years I have been involved in the market for historic vehicles and, along with a few others, I am one of the pioneers in this field. Over the years, my name has become one of the leading and most established dealerships worldwide. Nevertheless, our portfolio today also includes modern classics and contemporary rarities in limited editions.
Thanks to our expertise and close network in the classic car collector scene, we have built up a wide international reputation.
From 2019, I have been operating under the brand name ‘EBERHARD THIESEN Automobile Raritäten seit 1972’ at a location in the north of Hamburg. Since 2021, Bastian Hubald has been on board as a partner in our business, who has almost 20 years of experience in this field.

SUPERCAR IN VERDE SCURO. In retrospect the Lamborghini Miura is the first spectacular ‘supercar’ that challenged the sports car world at its debut in 1966. The Miura's drive concept was revolutionary as the first series-production sports car with a rear mid-engine. Its transversely mounted 3.9 litre V12 delivered 350 hp (P400) and from 1968 onwards, the modified version even had 370 hp (P400 S). Also, the progressive, courageous design by Marcello Gandini was a genuine sensation that continues to fascinate to this day.
Just like our now available Miura P400 S in its rare, original colour ‘Verde Scuro’ as one of only three examples delivered in this paint finish. After a long-term ownership in France for a full 44 years (!) until 2016 the car received an extensive restoration including a now dark green leather interior that makes this Miura truly unique. A certification from Lamborghini Polo Storico confirms its highly original status with ‘matching numbers’ for engine and gearbox. Our exceptional Miura stands out among many others – a well-prepared jewel for the 60th anniversary of the Miura next year.

DOLCE VITA SPIRIT IN GIALLO FLY. The Ferrari 275 GTB/4 is one of the most advanced Ferrari models of the 1960s and sought-after today having a milestone impact on the legendary brand. Its V12 front engine came up with four camshafts (the ‘4’ in the designation), dry sump lubrication and six Weber twin carburettors for a power output of 300 hp. In terms of design, the dynamic Gran Turismo inspires with a long bonnet, aerodynamic headlight covers and a flowing roof shape as a fastback coupé. With only 330 cars built, it was an exclusive toy for successful entrepreneurs and illustrious playboys of the international jet set.
Thanks to its high degree of originality and low mileage of just 32,600 miles, our excellently preserved Ferrari 275 GTB/4 from 1967 stands out from most other examples that have already undergone a restoration. A Ferrari Classiche Red Book confirms the correct factory status of the engine, gearbox and bodywork and even the interior is in original condition. The full history is documented by a Marcel Massini report. This 275 GTB/4 perfectly represents the legendary aura and historical essence of Ferrari: a racy sports car designed for road use with the success DNA from motorsport.

ORIGINAL & UNRESTORED 300 SL. We are always happy to present a Mercedes Benz 300 SL (W198). As a true speciality, our current roadster is an original example that has not yet undergone any restoration! The leather interior is still the first one with a slight patina and the engine has ‘matching numbers’. It features its original colour scheme in black with red interior and a white factory hardtop providing an elegant, sophisticated touch. The first owner in the USA remained very loyal to the car for a full 33 years (!) followed by only three more owners. Such a wonderfully preserved original condition is extremely rare today ! In any case, we love the timeless design, the superior roadholding, the powerful performance, the ‘racing soul’ and the sound of the engine.

BIG IS BEAUTIFUL. We admire the 600 as the "Top-Notch Mercedes" and a benchmark of its time: very prestigious and technically sophisticated. Our 1971 Mercedes Benz 600 Sedan is an impressive embodiment of that today. A German first delivery example with its "matching numbers" engine. It comes in the original colour scheme in white (DB 050) with a dark blue interior which is still the first leather! The air suspension and brakes were renewed, also the paintwork in 2019 and the comfort hydraulics is fully functional. Let’s explore and enjoy this fascinating "monument" of German post-war automobile history.

BEUATIFUL ONE-OFF MADE IN SPAIN. Even in the automobile world, rarity is relative. But it is definite when it comes to a one-of-a-kind car like our 1934 Hispano Suiza T56 Bis as an elegant yet sporty sedan by coachbuilder Baltasar Fiol in Barcelona. The side profile, with its long, imposing bonnet and a compact passenger compartment with a low roofline and small windows creates excellent proportions for a graceful and sleek appearance. The car was extensively restored a few years ago. However, most of the beautiful original red leather, instruments and woodwork have been preserved to provide an authentic aura. We simply admire this unique body for its beauty and charisma.

30 YEARS LOYAL OWNERSHIP. Our new arrival is a 1938 Horch 853 A Sport Cabriolet, which was discovered by Eberhard Thiesen in Latvia in 1993 and taken to Germany for a high-quality restoration. In 1997 the car was sold to a collector, who owned it until today! In just under 30 years, he has covered around 45,000 kilometres. The car is preserved in absolute mint condition to this day and impresses with a fantastic engine run and driving characteristics. An attractive feature is the colour scheme in two-tone green with black leather interior and a green soft top.
