Seit nahezu 50 Jahren bin ich im Markt für historische Fahrzeuge engagiert und zähle mit wenigen anderen zu den Pionieren in diesem Segment. Im Laufe der Zeit ist mein Unternehmen zu einem der führenden und etabliertesten Handelshäuser weltweit geworden. Gleichwohl gehören heute auch moderne Klassiker und neuzeitige Raritäten mit limitierter Auflage zu unserem Portfolio.

Seit 2019 bin ich unter der Marke „EBERHARD THIESEN Automobile Raritäten seit 1972“ an einem Standort in Hamburgs Norden aktiv. Seit 2021 ist Bastian Hubald als Partner in unserem Geschäft an Bord, der über fast 20 Jahre Erfahrung in diesem Metier verfügt.

  • OUTSTANDING SIXTEEN CYLINDER. Even after 50 years in the exclusive classic car trade, there are still new premieres. This it is the first car with a 16-cylinder engine in our portfolio – a 1931 Marmon Sixteen Type 145 Convertible Sedan. ⁣ ⁣ Established in 1902, Marmon was one of the pioneers of the American automobile industry. Marmon's V16 engine was a technical masterpiece, developed by the brands founder Howard C. Marmon. With a displacement of 8 litres, it delivered 200 hp – more power than the supercharged Mercedes cars of the 1930s. Only 390 examples were built in three years.⁣ ⁣ Our Example is a Convertible Sedan by coachbuilder Le Baron, a model of which only 11 cars are known to survive today. It has remained in a private collection in Switzerland for the last 25 years. We love the extremely attractive and elegant two-tone paintwork in dark blue and ‘champagne’ metallic providing a glamorous touch of Hollywood. ⁣ ⁣ This V16 is one of the most extraordinary engines of all time, and an exceptional privilege for just a very few cars.
